Was the Stutz Blackhawk ever cool? People of the 70s your opinion is welcome here.

I think so. Had a lot of celebrity owners and never had a slouch of an engine under the hood.

Yeah, it's cool, but only in the weirdly ironic sense of cool. Like "dying on the toilet" cool.

Well Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Issac Hayes, Sammy Davis Jr, and Barry White all had one, and I dare you to find someone cooler than them.

As unusual as the headlights are, they borrow liberally from the ‘61 Imperial, which nobody would say is tasteless. If you combine that with a slightly mishmash rear styling reminiscent of a Jag, you end up with a car that’s elegant but very awkward - like the scion of a wealthy family in a wheelchair with severe scoliosis.
So yeah, cool - but not necessarily who everybody wants to hang out with.

I was born in the 90's but I think these were more popular with the Liberace types. Depends on what you define as “cool.” I can’t imagine Mick Jagger driving one.

Cool? Sure.
Pretty? No.
It’s like they couldn’t decide which design style to use on the front end and just used all of them...then they stuck the spar on top of the trunk. I think the designers were all on drugs...that’s the only way I can explain that

It’s cool in a 70's pimpmobile kind of way.

That is a good way to look at it I think. Not Steve McQueen cool but more like Albert Einstein cool but dorky

That is a good way to look at it I think. When it is in convertible form though it does manage to look more elegant

I think your conclusion is probably not very far from the truth

Nah. Frank, Dean, and Issac Hayes are all far cooler.
That's gonna leave a mark!

I'd say its more in bad taste than cool. Thankfully, I like stuff that's in bad taste. So I like this.
